Lacey Townsend

I was born in a small town in upstate South Carolina where I stayed until leaving for college in Charleston. I graduated in 2003 with a BA in Biology, minoring in Psychology. Despite my love for all things science - body and mind - I found myself working primarily in property management, with a side job as a one on one worker for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

I met my husband, Brandon, in 2007, and we were married just under 18 months later! We moved back to update SC to start our family, where I worked full-time as a Child Protective Services social worker. This job brought us to Asheville in the summer of 2011 when our kiddos were just 3 months, 2 years and 11 years old. 

After a few more years in social work, I took time off to be with the children and help in their school. With encouragement from Brandon, who had already obtained his real estate license, I came into real estate in 2017. I opened LOVE Land and Home in the fall of 2022, and our youngest child, Ely, designed the logo. I wanted a firm that cultivated and nurtured a culture of love, compassion, patience and personalized, full-service agency when it came to working with clients, other agents, lenders, and service providers. I am grateful for our growth, and look forward to so much more LOVE in the future!

Fun fact: I am also licensed in South Carolina where I spend a great deal of time at my home away from home in Pawleys Island, the oldest seaside resort town in America!
